Set off from Cambridge at 4.30am on Monday 14th July and made my way across London. This was a bit of a disappointment as the only person that spoke was the taxi driver just outside the school.
Anyway all was good once at the school the guys turned up with their gear at about 8.30.
We started the day by putting all the tents up to see if they were ok. The weather was really good, a lot better than when I set off from the North the day before.
Putting the tents up didn’t take too long. We did manage to sort all the safety gear out and get all the guys stuff in one place and packed in some kind of order.
We headed off for lunch then hung about in the afternoon, waiting for the bus to pick us up and take us to Heathrow. All was good once at the airport, not too many problems handing the kit in. We then found out that the flight was delayed buy one hour so more hanging around.
At last we are on our way to India. It all seemed worth it (after been up 19 hours.). It’ll probably be a while before we can publish again but we are writing a daily diary so come back and see it.
